2 GOP presidential candidates miss filing deadline in Arkansas

Two former governors polling near the bottom of the 15 Republican candidates for president failed to file paperwork to appear on the March primary ballot in Arkansas.

A spokesman for the Arkansas secretary of state’s office, which handles candidate filing, confirmed that George Pataki of New York and Jim Gilmore of Virginia did not submit the necessary forms by Monday’s deadline.
